How It Works
Today there is an alternative to sitting in a classroom to earn your degree. The College Network works together with nationally acclaimed, accredited universities to offer unique online degree completion programs for busy adults. While The College Network is not a school, it has designed a Comprehensive Learning Module program which works with its partner universities’ online degree programs.
The Comprehensive Learning Module program conveniently enables busy adults to earn college credit (“test out”) for dozens of prerequisite and general education courses by passing end–of–course college equivalency exams such as CLEP®, DSST®, and the Excelsior College® Examination. There are over 70 courses available for study.
Phase 1 - “Testing-Out” with TCN Comprehensive Learning Module program
Degree completion programs through The College Network are generally divided into two phases. During Phase One, customers study our online Comprehensive Learning Modules, which are created to prepare them to test out of prerequisite and general education courses. Customers can earn up to 82 credit hours in this manner, depending on previous completed course work and credits needed. We do a thorough analysis to determine exactly what courses are needed. This phase of the program offers generous flexibility, as the learning modules and college equivalency exams can be completed anywhere, anytime.
Phase 2 - Online with our Partner Universities
Once the prerequisites and general education courses are complete, customers begin Phase Two by enrolling in one of our partner school’s online degree program. All course work is completed online, with no required campus visits or specified log-in times—all learning is flexible to meet the customers’ needs.
In addition, for some programs The College Network’s Comprehensive Learning Module program is built into the curriculum of our partner schools’ degree programs. In these cases, the customer simply enrolls with the school and purchases The College Network’s learning module program at the same time. Through the TCN portion, we make every effort to provide convenience and assistance to you to ensure your success—we guarantee it!
