Effective immediately, students who have a previous bachelor’s degree in any subject are now required to complete modules for or have previous credit for Introductory Psychology and Sociology. These subjects must be completed in addition to the six courses already required (Anatomy and Physiology, Life Span Developmental Psychology, Chemistry, Microbiology, Pathophysiology, and Statistics). Students possessing a bachelor’s degree in either Psychology or Sociology would not be required to complete the corresponding introductory level course.
Additionally, The English Composition 2 requirement will be waived if the student has English Composition 1 and credit for the junior level writing requirement.

Effective immediately, Angelo State RN to BSN students will no longer use TCN’s Freshman College Composition module and the corresponding CLEP® examination to fulfill the English Composition requirement. Students will need to take an equivalent course at a local college or university.

 | Bellevue Bachelor degree programs |
Effective with the August 2008 start date, Bellevue Bachelor degree programs will be reduced from 48 weeks to 40 weeks. There will still be the same number of courses and semester hours. Also, with the new program, students will not be able to complete the Kirkpatrick Signature Series concurrently with the other courses. Students will either need to complete the series before they begin the courses for their major or after they have completed all courses.

Effective immediately, students will be required to complete the Customized Study Materials that correspond to NURS 106 (Mental Health Aspects of Nursing Practice) and NURS 224 (Nursing Care of Adults) prior to enrollment into Indiana State’s College of Nursing, Health, and Human Services.
For 2009, completion of all 4 CSMs (Mental Health Aspects of Nursing Practice, Nursing Care of Adults, Nursing Care of the Child and the Family, and Nursing Care of the Childbearing Family) will be required prior to enrollment into Indiana State’s College of Nursing, Health, and Human Services.

Effective April 8, 2008, Indiana State University students will now need to complete the enrollment application online at http://www.indstate.edu/admissions/apply.htm, pay the $25 application fee, and receive a Student ID from ISU prior to taking the Principles of Public Speaking, Analysis of Literature, Technical Writing, and Freshman College Composition exams. These exams have a required essay portion (a speech for Principles of Public Speaking) that will be graded by Indiana State University after the multiple choice portion has been graded by the corresponding testing body.

If you have college credit from outside of the United States, you will need to have it reviewed by World Education Services (WES) or Indiana State University to determine US equivalency. NOTE: If you received a previous bachelor’s degree in any subject from an international institution, you must have your international credit reviewed by Indiana State University.
If you choose to have your credit reviewed by World Education Services, you are responsible for submitting a copy of your transcripts to WES for completion of a course-by-course report, paying any required fees to have the evaluation completed, and having the results sent to TCN for our preliminary course analysis.

If you did not enroll in Excelsior College®* by September 30, 2007, please read the following information.
Effective October 1, 2007, Excelsior College* implemented curriculum changes for the Associate of Science in Nursing program. According to the information posted on Excelsior College's* web site at www.excelsior.edu, the Nursing Concepts theory examinations have changed, including the number of examinations required for program completion. In addition, a new three-part clinical competency assessment, Focused Clinical Competencies Assessment (FCCA), has been introduced. All students will still be required to complete the Clinical Performance in Nursing Examination (CPNE®).
Program Progression
If you did not make the September 30 application deadline, we encourage you to complete your general education courses (if applicable) prior to starting the nursing courses
If you only have the Nursing Concepts modules, you will NOT be able to take the corresponding examination until you receive the new nursing theory modules because there is additional material that is not in the current module. The Essentials of Nursing Care: Health Safety replaced the Nursing Concepts 1 module and is currently available for shipping. However, if you plan on studying any other Nursing Concepts modules, please contact The College Network's Academic Support Department before starting.

Effective December 31, 2007, the Excelsior College® Examination in Statistics will no longer be offered.
If you cannot take the Excelsior College* Statistics exam by December 30, 2007, call the Academic Support Department. We will send you the DSST® Statistics module at no charge once it becomes available.

Effective July 1, 2007, the CLEP® (College Level Examination Program) Principles of Accounting exam will no longer be offered. It will, however, be replaced by the CLEP Financial Accounting exam.
If you cannot take the Principles of Accounting exam by June 30,2007, call the Academic Support Department. We will gladly send you the Financial Accounting module at no charge.

For customers who enrolled prior to November 2005 in Boston's online Project Management courses MDB500, MDB501, MDB502, MDB503 and the individual courses therein, the courses will no longer be available after April 30, 2007. The program must be completed prior to April 30, 2007.

On October 1, 2007, the Community Health Nursing Excelsior College Examination will be replaced by the Community-Focused Nursing Examination. Customers who plan on taking the current version of the exam must do so prior to September 30, 2007. Those who plan on completing the exam after September 30, will take the Community-Focused Nursing exam. The content outline for the new exam will not be available until July 2007.

Indiana State University has recently changed their LPN/LVN to BSN curriculum requirements. The program no longer requires 18 hours of upper level credit. The new requirement is 12 hours of upper level credit.

Due to curriculum changes in the ASN program, Nursing Concepts 2 is no longer required if you have a current LPN/LVN license. If you have purchased the Nursing Concepts 2 comprehensive learning module, The College Network is offering one of the following options:
1) You can receive a lifetime credit for the cost of your Nursing Concepts 2 comprehensive learning module, which can be applied toward the cost of a future program through The College Network.
2) You can apply the cost of your Nursing Concepts 2 comprehensive learning module towards the purchase of the Rx for NCLEX ® Success materials (if not previously purchased).
3) You can apply the cost of your Nursing Concepts 2 comprehensive learning module to another comprehensive learning module needed for your ASN program, per your course analysis.
