Community-Focused Nursing
The Community-Focused Nursing comprehensive learning module focuses on community-focused nursing. Topics discussed include concepts, models, and theories; epidemiology and health promotion; global environmental health; factors influencing community health; community as client; roles and strategies for community health nursing; common community health issues and specific aggregates; and community health nursing in specialized settings (such as school, office, voluntary health agency, and home). Each chapter contains study questions, and a complete, multiple-choice practice examination is located at the end of the module.

Exam Type
Excelsior College® Examination
Excelsior College® Examinations are administered at Pearson Vue testing centers. You must register for the examination through Excelsior College prior to contacting a Pearson Vue testing center to schedule the examination.
From the Excelsior College Web site, www.excelsior.edu, click on the “Excelsior College Examinations” link. Under the EC Exams Resources & Services, select “Excelsior College Exams Registration.” You will be directed to the Excelsior College Web Site Login page. Enter your username and password. If you do not have an EC User Account, click on “Create A Free MyEC User Account Now!” and complete the required information. An EC User Account is required for all enrolled and non-enrolled Excelsior College* students in order to register for an examination.
